The Beginning

My name is Craig Thatcher, I'm a "professional" programmer. This site is built to serve as a way for me to store my thoughts on coding experiments and other things I find interesting. The goal of this process is to improve on my writing style and speed. As a programmer I've spent a significant amount of time being very concise in writing code. That style of "writing" isn't conducive to effectively communicating with others, including myself.

Inspiration

I was inspired to start this site from this twitter post by Scott Hanselman. I've been listening to his podcast from day one when it launched and can't agree more with his statement. So here we are doing stuff and sharing what we learn. I'm positive I'll make some mistakes but I'll own up to them, and hopefully we'll move forward together and learn from them.

Comments

I appreciate constructive feedback from others, but if I see comments from others that I find offensive or derogatory I will remove them and ban users from commenting in the future.
